The last super-easy sIhopping opportunity for me is coming up in a week, so if you're interested in a commission, now's the time to start talkin'!

If you're not, that's cool, too.  I've been working really hard on my craft of late. Huzzah!  I'm thinking of either getting my best work photographed professionally for a portfolio (and for use in my Etsy shop) or massively redoing everything myself... not a prospect I look forward to, I assure you.  If I can trade services with a photographer, you can bet your buttons what I'll be doing about this!  The ultimate goal of this venture would be to get my work into a gallery or handcrafts store, as well as just to have it and be able to erase some of the egads-awful photos on my computer.  I guess I could do that regardless, huh?

Since I doubt I'll get anything into galleries in the immediate future, I'm also considering finding some other local artists (hopefully someone with more room than I have!) and doing a show or two at someone's house.  It's cheaper than getting into a larger crafts fair and less pressure to have a huge amount of stock.  Lately, though, I feel like that's less of a concern for me, but I don't know if that's just because I'm running out of room to really store my finished work in or if it really reflects my "large" volume of stuff in stock.  I guess I could go through and really figure it out, huh?  I should do that.  Just the fact that I know I need another jewelry roll/storage device is a good indicator.

Stay healthy.

I just realized that there's "only" about three  months left until Christmas, Channukah, Solstice, Kwanzaa, and any other gift-giving holiday that I'm forgetting that occurs in December.  As I would like to get an early start on it this year (and avoid gift-arrival fiascos like last year's), I'm opening up commissions.  I'm not sure how many I'll do, it'll depend on how many I get and if I feel like I'm getting bogged.  (That would ROCK.)

So.

For jewelry design and assembly, both beaded and metalwork, my labor rate is $15/hour.
I'll work with you on what you want, what materials you want to use, size, etc.  This includes drafts and samples and usually takes about half an hour to an hour of design time between communication and reviews and revisions.

I charge raw materials and mileage (based on current gas prices and mpg), times two.

Available subjects:
Necklace
Bracelet
Earrings
Matching (or variation-on-a-theme) sets
Small Argentium barrettes
Large Argentium barrettes

Email me with your ideas (e.g. color scheme, stones, motif) and we'll go from there. I hope to work with many of you to create something special for your loved ones this holiday season.

Pictures?  What pictures? >.> I'm a flake, I know it.  Shh.  I've been exceedingly busy and haven't even looked at my photos since I uploaded them.  I'll get to them, though there's not many I'm thrilled with.  Le sigh.

What have I been doing, you ask?  Work, as always.  The difference is that now I'm working at my local bead store one day a week and carrying more hours at the office.  I'm also doing various small repair jobs for the store, as well, and I'm going to research cost effective, efficient marketing ideas.  The owner also wants me to draft a materials list and lesson plan for a soldering class or classes.  I also have 3 weeks to make a bunch of items for the annual Sidewalk Sale as part of the shop's contribution.

It's all very exciting!  And busy.  But I love it.  The money's pouring in, which is great!  I have a plan for when to quit my office job, which is great! (Speaking of which, I need to talk to you ASAP, Mr. :iconslagatastic:, if you're reading this.)  I'm all kinds of occupied which is great! if a little... I don't know.  I kinda miss my copious amounts of discretionary time, but I'm realizing that this is what adulthood is really supposed to be like, and I can live with that.

So yay!
